hey guys and gals, this is a touchy subject... i was in NYC a few weeks ago went to ground zero and it really hit me, i thought id redo a famous pic, everyones probably seen it b4, and if you havent youve probably been living in a hole... n e ways, this is a touchy subject but i thought id try to sketch on my computer that pic of the moment when alot of people realised that we are living in a world war age... I jsut did a big right up but i deleted it cause some ppl may not like to talk about it all... ummm imma stop talking now... here ya go..

ESTRAGON: Why don't we hang ourselves? VLADIMIR: With what? ESTRAGON: You haven't got a bit of rope? VLADIMIR: No. ESTRAGON: Then we can't. (Silence.)
From the art perspective it is very well drawn and as you say it is a very touchy subject.
However what good is it going to be unless we can openly talk and move on from such atrocities? If we don't then we just condem ourselves to an endless spiral of hate and war....
yep i was talking with someone in NYC and he was talking about how his neighbors never came home that night, and he was saiyng how eveyroens trying to move on now and try to be open about it, but its nice to see tho that everyone is more open about it now, i knwo i wasnt drastically affected by this but it is still something everyone should get out in the open, cause i dont think anyone that was in there would want soo many people to be scared, and mourning for ever... ive been thru some hard stuff, like loosing my sister to cancer when she was 13, and alot of other things, but everything is different, and i couldnt imagine the pain that many people felt... but sometimes you gotta move on, but when ya move on, you cant stop remembering tho....
Your right on every count, feeling emotional pain for those who we loved and lost only prooves that we are human. Its how we conduct ourselves after the incident that shows us who we really are on the inside.
I think what was most shocking was the audaciousness of the attack and the fact that it was so unpredictable. One thing tho, would it (9/11) have been so shocking had the towers not collapsed?
well the question could be... if they didnt collapse as fast as they did, althought it was a while untill they fell... if they got everyone out... and they still collapsed... the group that did it would of still accomplished bringing down americas main financial buildings and causing them economic problems etc... i coudl get into the whole war thing, but thats even a more complicated subject... but what iw as going to say is say all the people where saved, would bush still of sent his men to iraq? id have to say yes... i have mixed emotions about the war... catching saddam was a good thing, but then there was alot of bad thigns that happened leading up to it... the one thing i find weird is that the focus was on osama the whole time then out of no where they just went to iraq... like im totally open minded for opinions and stuff, im jsut saying thats something that has bugged me for a little while... who knows, we cant change the past....
There are alot of people in Britain who think that the war in Iraq was uncalled for, as I'm sure their are across the pond. Your right in what your saying about why focus shifted from Afghanistan to Iraq, but I partially believe that some of the reason stems from the fact the thier Muslim countries, and the yanks have always wanted another reason to invade Iraq.
However what puzzles me is, why go after Saddam?
If the Western World wanted him that much why did they stop and the Kuwati boarder back in the first Gulf War? Why not go in and finish Saddam off?
Had they removed him from power then would: A) 9/11 have happened and B) Would Iraq still be having these problems now?
trru trru, thats what bugs me... it was like an excuse to go to iraq... like alot of ppl say bush wanted to do it caus eof his dad... etc... but hey who am i to judge... i dont think theres that great of reason to go to iraq considering saddam had nothing to do with it, and they where right after osama from the beginning and out of no where they go to iraq... i dunno.... what i find sad is that people call saddam a tyrannical leader... well in the iraqis eyes what is bush to them? same thing... its sad because no matter what happens stuff like this will continuesly continue, (dunno if continuesly continue makes sence lol) n e ways, its a weird subject, like they say that they new the attacks where supposed to happen, but they did nothing until it was too late... then when i went to NYC and saw the WTC site, it hit me hard, and i thought how could someone knowing that something so bad was about to happen... let it happen... it was horrible... but like i said who am i to judge anyone... but no matter what its gonna bug me... lets just hope that everyone votes in america this upcoming election ... lol, well i know theres alot of pro bush and anti bush ppl, in my eyes i dont know what to think of him, he seemed good at first but then everything bad that could happen did happen during his presidency, im not american... but im still affected by his decisions... im not judging him at all, who knows if he even know anything was going to happen that morning.... but the thing that will always bug me is... what if he did know exactly what was about to happen.... thats the sad thing...
